About Us

Wellington Hospitals & Health Foundation is a registered charitable trust that raises funds for projects to improve the comfort and welfare of patients and their families at Wellington Hospital, Kenepuru Hospital, Wellington Children's Hospital and Kapiti Health Centre.

Charities Commission Registration Number CC22921.

Mission
The Foundation’s mission is to involve our communities in our hospitals and health services and the challenge for the Foundation is to raise sufficient funds for those “extra projects” that are not funded by the Government.

Helping Patients and their Families
The Foundation's aim is to help as many patients and their families as possible.

Official Fundraiser
The Wellington Hospitals & Health Foundation is the official fundraiser for the hospitals and health services within the Capital & Coast Health District. The Foundation is a community initiative and is a completely separate entity from the District Health Board.

Passionate, Dedicated Staff
The Foundation's staff and Volunteers work as one cohesive and caring team for patients and their families. Team members work passionately, enthusiastically and with pride in the interests of patients, hospital staff and the community. The Foundation has a strong association with Wellington Children's Hospital (see our Children's Hospital website www.hospitalkids.org.nz).

The Trustees are passionate about the cause and are committed to the highest level of ethics in the management and governance of Wellington Hospitals & Health Foundation.

Our hospitals belong to every one of us – your support of the Foundation gives you an opportunity to make a difference at your hospitals.
