Centenary Fund

Building an ongoing fund to generate income to sustainably buy medical equipment and comfort items for Wellington Children's Hospital, now and forever.

Wellington Children's Hospital has been helping children for over 100 years ... but they can't do it without YOUR help.

In fact, they might have helped someone you know - maybe your child, grandchild or family friend.

Wellington Children's Hospital is 100 years old. They have been caring for sick children through war and epidemics to new advances in medical care and technology, since they opened their doors on 13 March 1912. Making it New Zealand's oldest Children's hospital.

We need your support.

We have set up the Centenary Fund because each year more than 27,000 children visit Wellington Children's Hospital. As the hospital's offi cial charity, our mission is to ensure that their stay is as comfortable as possible. To do this we rely on people like you for donations.

Eugene's story
"I have had two children (at different times) stay at Wellington Children's Hospital and on both occasions have been treated with utmost respect and care from hospital staff. We even had the opportunity to meet with Prince William during one of our stays! Although it is always a challenge having children that need medical attention, it is very heart warming to know that they'll be taken care of professionally, with their interests coming fi rst and foremost. Happy Birthday to all involved in Wellington Children's Hospital. Nga mihi nunui ki a koutou mo te maharatanga kotahi rau! Mauri Ora!"

With your help Eugene's children and thousands of children like his can get the care and support they need.

While the government provides funding for healthcare, it is not enough. Wellington Children's Hopital relies on financial support from caring individuals to help build and equip their facilities. With your support we are able to fund additional medical equipment, training and research; as well as replacement toys and books, and numerous patient and family support programmes. This ensures every child gets the best support possible.

To help our children, you can make a donation to the Centenary Fund by making an online donation here or download and complete this form and post it to us at Private Bag 7902, Newtown, Wellington 6242.

Your support means so much.

Yours sincerely,
