Foundation Launches Txt Campaign
Wellington Hospitals & Health Foundation is running its first ever 'Txt to Donate' campaign in support of Wellington Children's Hospital.
Funds raised through the campaign will help the official hospital charity to provide medical equipment and comfort items that the hospital could not otherwise afford.
Individuals can support the campaign by txting the word DONATE to 4483 from their mobile phones. An instant $3 donation will be deducted from their phone accounts and donated to the charity.
The campaign is part of the Wellington Children's Hospital Centenary Fund Appeal, which aims to build an ongoing, sustainable fund to enable the Foundation to purchase equipment for the children's hospital when needed.
Thousands of children and their families who travel to Wellington Children's Hospital every year from throughout the region will benefit greatly from the fund.
