Fresh Future Appeal

Fresh Future is an annual nationwide fundraising appeal run by Progressive Enterprises Ltd (Countdown, Woolworths, Foodtown, Fresh Choice and SuperValue supermarkets) and Dick Smith Electronics. It is held every August and September to support our nation's Sick Kids.

In the past three years Fresh Future has raised over $3 million for Sick Kids throughout New Zealand!

Funds raised for Wellington Children's Hospital will be used to create a more child-friendly environment as part of our Children's Hospital Makeover Appeal.

“We want to make our Children’s Hospital a fresh, warm and inviting place for sick kids who are often very scared coming to hospital. With Fresh Future’s help we can make this happen and also provide the comfort items that help parents as they look after their sick child,” says Bill Day, Chair of the Wellington Hospitals and Health Foundation.

Currently Wellington Children's Hospital is undergoing a major makeover, with the Paediatric Outpatients moving into the Grace Neill Building so the wards can expand.

Throughout the Appeal children can also meet HOSPI, the official mascot for Wellington Children’s Hospital at specific fundraising events in Wellington - check back here for details!

In the past 2 years, Wellington Children's Hospital received over $300,000  from the Fresh Future Appeal which has benefited several programmes including a special Acute Assessment Unit for children, chair-beds for parents and a high definition laparoscopic monitor for Paediatric Surgery.
