HOSPI Care Programme

By supporting the Hospi Care Programme you are making a positive, direct contribution to the lives of patients and their families.

Often there are cases of hardship that patients and their families suffer through no fault of their own. With the ongoing support of the community the Foundation has set up the HOSPI Care Programme.  This fund enables the Foundation to provide support to families in need who otherwise would suffer hardship when a loved one is in hospital.

An example is the support the Foundation has provided to the Paediatric Oncology patients who are required to travel to Starship Hospital in Auckland or Christchurch Hospital for much needed treatment. The HOSPI  Care Programme provides for all those extras that the "SYSTEM" (i.e. hospital/Govt) cannot fund. Things such as meal vouchers, petrol vouchers, additional travel costs/assistance for siblings and parents, Pet care services while family members are away from Wellington, Taxi transport from Auckland or Christchurch airport to hospital rather than shuttle buses etc.
