HOSPI Emergency Care Packs Comfort Young Patients in Transit

Every year about 40 young patients have to leave Wellington Hospital immediately, on short notice, to receive specialised treatment in either Auckland or Christchurch hospitals.

From now on, these families will receive a HOSPI Emergency Care Pack, courtesy of the Foundation's HOSPI Care Programme.

The packs, sporting Wellington colours, were donated by local company Signature Promotions and are filled with HOSPI items for the patient to keep.   Items include a HOSPI toy, hand santiser, note pad, colouring book, pencils, drink bottle, coffee cup and lots more.

"I am thrilled we can make a difference to help these young patients" said Naomi Lawrence, Patient Travel Administrator, Wellington Hospital.
